11th grade School Day SAT - April 1

All 11th-grade students will be given the SAT on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.  While 11th-grade students are taking the SAT, all other students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will follow a regular school day schedule.

Course Selection 25-26

In February, School Counselors visited all 9th and 10th-grade ILTs to review the course selection process, while 11th-graders had, or will have, individual meetings with their counselors. The PowerSchool Student/Family Portal will be open for course requests in March. The School Counseling Department created this helpful handout to provide resources and guidance for the course request process.

Student Attendance Concern Meetings

As Quarter 3 ends, administrators and counselors are scheduling meetings with students who have 4+ unexcused absences in semester classes or 6+ in year-long classes, as they may lose or have already lost credit. Students and their families will be contacted directly if they are in this situation.

Last day of school - June 12, 2025

SAT Prep at Brookfield Learning Center

Brookfield Learning Center partners with PTO to offer multiple SAT Prep courses. This flyer outlines their offerings. Descriptions and flyers for Max Prep and SAT Boot Camp are below..

SAT Boot Camp - A two-day program designed as a weekend workshop to familiarize students with the exam format while covering key SAT Math and Reading/Writing content. Most importantly, they focus on simple strategies to improve scores and reduce anxiety. Boot Camp is scheduled close to the test date, March 22-23. The cost for Brookfield families is $95. (SAT Boot Camp Info)

Individual Prep - Prep sessions are scheduled individually for students who can not make the other classes or want to focus on specific areas of SAT Math or Reading. The number of sessions is based on a student's previous testing. Individual prep generally ranges between 4 -12 sessions. Cost $45/session for Brookfield families.

As always, a portion of tuition from all programs will be donated to the PTO.

Location for student pickup at the end of the school day

The staff/visitor parking lot, where the buses line up at the end of the day, is not to be used for student pickup at the end of the school day. This interferes with buses and our security guard will not allow this. Please park in the student lot if you pick a student up at the end of the school day.

Lunch on 1/2 days

A bag lunch will be available for purchase on all scheduled ½ days for the remainder of the year.  Students who would like lunch are asked to complete an electronic (sent to them through email) two days before the 1/2 day.  All lunches will include a main entree, a fruit/vegetable, and milk.  The full price cost is $3.25 and students who qualify for free or reduced lunch will receive a free lunch.

Using ParentSquare

If you need help navigating our new ParentSquare platform, the district has published two documents to help you. This is a video (about 14 minutes) from ParentSquare, and this is a Getting Started presentation from our Technology Director.
