Did you know that CT State offers technical training programs? These affordable programs are between 6 months and a year. This is a GREAT way to learn a skill and start earning money without debt.
CT State also offers associate’s degrees in various trades, and these are typically eligible for the PACT (free tuition) program.

Students can also pursue apprenticeships through a union. Visit the union's websites to find details on the required hours and classes. Apprentices do not pay for their training and receive a stipend during their training period. Often called “earn as you learn," these programs usually last between 3 and 5 years.
