Career Exploration

 Did you know that CT State offers technical training programs?  These affordable programs are between 6 months and a year. This is a GREAT way to learn a skill and start earning money without debt.

CT State also offers associate’s degrees in various trades, and these are typically eligible for the PACT (free tuition) program.

SUNY: Alfred State, Canton, Delhi, Morrisville

Students can also pursue apprenticeships through a union. Visit the union's websites to find details on the required hours and classes. Apprentices do not pay for their training and receive a stipend during their training period. Often called “earn as you learn," these programs usually last between 3 and 5 years.

Looking for an opportunity to explore your interests this summer? 😎Interested in earning college credits? 👩🏻‍🎓Pre-College programs are a great way to experience college life prior to enrolling. Programs that have a fee often offer scholarships to offset the cost. This spreadsheet includes many opportunities, and will be updated throughout the school year. Check back often!
