Important Dates

August 17 - Start of Football Conditioning
August 20 - Student schedules available in PowerSchool Family Portal
August 22 - Start of Football Contact Practice
August 24 - 9th-grade orientation (Link Crew)
August 24 - First day for tryouts/practice for all other Fall sports 
August 26 - Fall Athletics Parent Meeting - 6:00 PM (Auditorium)
August 27 - First Day of School (A1 day)
September 9 - Picture Day (during school)
September 10 - Picture Day (during school)
September 17 - Open House - 6:00 PM
 

Annual PowerSchool Consent/Data Review

The Annual Consent and Review period is OPEN. (link to the PowerSchool Family Portal)
 
During this time, parents/guardians are required to review and/or update student contact information, review district policies and also complete health and athletic forms within the Power School Parent Portal for the 2026-2027 School Year. There is a parent sign-off at the bottom of each page that needs to be completed (Student Contact Information, Digital Locker, and Health Information), plus several acknowledgements that are REQUIRED every year.

The Annual Consent and Review Process must be complete before you can view your student's 2026-2027 course schedule on August 20, 2026.

Double-check your PowerSchool Consent/Data Review

We have seen two issues when reviewing submitted updates.

First, if you completed the Digital Locker section prior to August 10, 2026, you need to log in and sign off on receipt of the Student and Family Handbook. You will not be able to see your student's schedule if this is not complete.

Second, please double check the Student Contact Information, Digital Locker, and Health Information sections have been updated and signed off by a parent/guardian. We found several submissions that were not signed off.

9th Grade Orientation- August 24, 2026

All 9th-grade students are invited to an orientation on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The orientation session will be run by our student Link Leaders. 9th grade parents/guardians are invited to the Auditorium for a brief presentation from school administrators. The presentation will end with a question-and-answer session.

Athletic Update (from August 12, 2026)

Our Athletic Director, Mr. Baldwin, sent this ParentSquare message on August 12, 2026. The message includes information about registering to play a sport using FinalForms, a list of initial practices for each sport, along with information about the Fall Parent/Coaches meeting. Please reach out directly to Mr. Baldwin if you have any questions.

Student Schedules

Schedules will be available in the Power School Family Portal on August 20, 2026, if families have completed the annual consent and data review. Schedule questions/concerns should be sent by email to the student's School Counselor. Changes will only be made if there is a clerical error.

First Day of School and School Hours

The first day of school is Thursday, August 27, 2026. We will follow an A1 day schedule. First period starts at 7:30 AM, and last period ends at 2:15 PM. This is a link to the 2026-27 BHS Bell Schedules.

Chromebooks

Students have the option to rent a Chromebook from the school, buy a Chromebook from the school or bring their own device. Please click this link for more information on the BHS Chromebook Program for the 2026-27 school year.

Student Parking Permits
